Wekelijks stuurt de contactpersoon van de Exeter Exiles een mailtje met nieuws en achtergronden etc.
Dit keer stond dit ertussen, dit moet wel haast een heel slecht programma worden;

The show: Who Do We Support This Summer?
This year Holland won?t be part of the European Championship. Nevertheless the Dutch supporters would like to watch the matches again but? which country do we have to support? Two Dutch presenters will find this out in 5 episodes.
The hosts are John Heitinga, former football player at Ajax / Everton and Jan Smit, presenter/singer. In each episode they visit another country to experience the football atmosphere. Think of meeting players or coaches, listen to the football music, taste different beers and local snacks and meeting supporters. At the end of the 5 shows Jan and John will choose which country the Dutchies have to support this summer.
The shows will be broadcasted from May on NPO 3 (can be seen as the Dutch BBC, it?s a public broadcaster) and will also be available online.
What we?re looking for
On Monday 18 en Tuesday 19th of April we will visit London and Southampton, or only London (not sure yet). In each country we go to, we visit a local family to see how they live and sleep in their house. We?ll come at night time to do an ?interview? (non static!), sleep at the house (we can fake this, it?s TV), and have English breakfast the next morning.
I am looking for a typical English, fanatic family in/around London or Southampton that?s crazy about football. I am looking for a good personal story (for example the father visited a lot of matches, all the members are playing football, they even have a tattoo of their favourite club, all the house is decorated in red/white colours for the national team, even duvets in football-style?). The family can be supporting one of the English football clubs, but it?s important as well that they support the national team this year. Actually the photo?s on the website look exactly like the kind of people I am looking for.
Since you might know a lot of football supporters, I hope you can help me to found a nice family!

Kan inderdaad bijna niet anders.
Een oud-prof die presenteert, dat kennen ze in Engeland in de vorm van Robbie Savage...
En de andere presentator is vooral zanger (en zelfs dat kan ie niet heel goed, maar ja, Volendam...)...
Hopelijk komt het programma op een dinsdagavond, past mooi in dat topic...

Ook als Oranje wel meedoet, maar uiteraard Oranje boven. Nu alleen een beetje lastige poule en een geblesseerde eerste doelman begrijp ik.

Die man weet heel veel van antropologie en heeft een mooie onderkoelde humor zonder de mensen in de zeik te nemen en de kijker geeft hij een spiegel.
Ik kijk er graag naar.
